Pad-Drive™ Single-Use Mixing System

The Pad-Drive™ is the most diverse single-use mixing system available on the market. Pad-Drive is designed for use in a manufacturing setting and performs equally well in product development. The Pad-Drive single-use mixing system is efficient for all application types and offers high-end controls and abilities geared to satisfy cGMP requirements.

Our Pad-Drive system uses an innovative bag design allowing a non-invasive connection between disposable mixing bag and hardware. Mixing is achieved when the integrated paddle inside the single-use bag rotates within. Speed, direction, and frequency of rotational change can all be controlled by the operator and/or programmable recipe. The Pad-Drive performs well for challenging mixing activities and is optimal for a broad range of bioprocess applications ranging from buffer preparation to final formulation.

As with all ATMI's LifeSciences' single-use mixing systems, the Pad-Drive utilizes disposable mixing bags made from our bioprocess film, TK8. The product-contacting layer of TK8 is blow extruded in-house by ATMI under cleanroom conditions using medical-grade ultra low-density polyethylene resin, then laminated to crate a gas barrier film of exceptional cleanliness, strength, and clarity that is animal derived component free (ACDF) and complies fully with USP Class VI requirements.
